All you have to do is have an idea about what you are doing and you can make money from marketing with articles. I think any expert would agree that article marketing is the best form of marketing on the internet right now. It is free and it has a huge impact on search engine results. I use it to promote my websites all the time. I get results in the search engines from publishing articles and then move up. I think article marketing is a valuable use of your time. If you have some extra time, I would spend it writing and publishing an article.

If you don’t know how to get started there are several eBooks on the market that can help you. I have learned a lot from reading eBooks on how to write articles. Some will even share information on how you get your articles to sell. I personally don’t use my articles for selling techniques. I like to write the articles just to inform people on the internet. Then I use my resource box to help with my search engine optimization efforts. Search engines reward me for putting time in my articles.

There is only one great way to drive free traffic to your websites and that is through search engine rankings. People get on search engines looking for information and then sometimes buy, either way it is a great way to build your brand. You can only get limited traffic from articles because there are so many on the internet. Article marketing however will allow you to promote your site in the search engines, so the writing is not a complete waste of time. If you are trying to promote affiliate links through posting a bunch of articles, however, without a website you are simply wasting your time.

In my experience I have been rewarded by doing article marketing. I recommend it to anybody who wants to try it. The key is to find a good method to submit your articles, and write as many unique articles as you can. Be an expert in your field, and live with passion.

When you make the decision to get into a home business opportunity, the first thing you need to do is to find a niche market to pitch a product or service to. You’ll need to go through an evaluation process where you try to determine which markets have a need you can fill and what products will appeal most strongly to people in this niche.

The best option for you would be to go through your system and dedicate your time to set up an Internet home business that will be consistently profitable. Some of the fundamental ways to set up this system should have information on how to:

-find the right niche market

-devise a customized service related to that niche

- create a website to collect leads

- collect your profits and going to the bank

No matter what your level of experience is in internet marketing, these principles are consistently successful in producing profits for your home based business.

It is more effective for a business to cater to needs that already exist than trying to find new ones. Create in your mind the conception of what makes a product good. Quality is vital. You will need to sell a product that is user-friendly and has a good track record.

So what’s the best internet home business to begin with? The answer hands down is an affiliate program. These programs have proven their potential to generate a healthy revenue stream and are well known. Or you can look for products which offer either basic or master resale rights.

Products with resale rights allow you to purchase the product with the right to resell it as your own product. Basic resale rights allow you to sell a copy to the customer for their personal use only. Master resale rights allow you to sell the product and the rights to allow someone else to sell the product.

Affiliate marketing is a far easier business to get into - You go into an agreement with a merchant, who will give you banner ads and links to place on your website. For every visitor to your site who goes on to the merchant’s site and makes a purchase, you’ll receive a commission.

Of the two types of products, affiliate marketing is the easiest. Because there are usually a lot of affiliates promoting a specific product, brand identity is high. When you resell a product, you were pretty much working alone making brand identity is lower.

When you use the Clickbank affiliate program you can choose a commodity that has good market value. By doing this you lessen the time taken to establish the product and for sales to start booming. But if your product is hooked to a certain niche market, where people are interested, you can use either the resale variety or the affiliate.

You can combine both affiliate marketing with a product resale, too. Be dedicated in your business and use the system that can help you to go from affiliate marketing sign-up to affiliate marketing superstar. With reselling of products, you will also be able to show a quick profit using the techniques and tips included in this system.

SEO is about to Grow Up

Dec 15, 2008 Author: Jennifer O. | Filed under: Search Engine Optimization

Those who have been in the industry since the late 90’s have seen huge changes in SEO. The industry has really matured. But in the grand scheme of things, if you were to plot SEO on a product life cycle chart you would see that the industry is still in its’ infancy. SEO - Introduction Stage - Starting about 1998

Companies who were around in the introduction stage often had to build product awareness and develop a market for SEO. In the early ‘2000’s, many of our clients had just build their first websites. This was a significant investment for them and they thought that now that they have a website, the online sales would just flow in. Many didn’t realize that they had just invested serious coin into an over-priced business card. Because nobody could find them.

At this point, there was little consistency in the product. And as the algorithm got more complex, the SEO offering varied more. Some companies were offering to “submit to hundreds of search engines” (some still are) whilst others were offering usability, analytics and site architectural input in addition to on-page and off-page SEO.

SEO - Early Growth Stage - we’re still just at the beginning of it.

In the early growth stage, smart SEO companies are beginning to think about building their brand and to increase market share. Demand is increasing as more customers understand the benefits of “getting found”. There is some competition at this stage but because the market is broadening so much, competition is limited and there is still a huge amount of camaraderie within the industry. 10 years into it, it?s easy to assume that our industry is more mature than it actually is. We’ve only just begun.

Customer Implication

Demand has already started to increase but it is going to skyrocket. And it’s going to come from all types of business from very small customers to Enterprise type of businesses.

Up until recently, the neighborhood dry cleaner didn’t care if someone across the country found their website because they deal within a 5 km radius got very little benefit from optimizing their website. Now as local search gets much better, those local business will become much more serious about the opportunities online

It is also likely that we’ll see a lot of growth from Enterprise clients. These clients previously resisted SEO due to the complexity of working within legacy back-end systems. As technology increases and back-end systems become less expensive for more capability, we’re going to see companies replace their antiquated CMS’s with Search Engine Optimization friendly options.

Another change that this stage of the product life cycle will bring is in our relationship with the client. As SEO becomes a bigger part of the mainstream marketing mix, our customers will become more and more knowledgeable about SEO (we?re already starting to see this).

We’ll move from having a sales / consultative role to being a thought partner. Our clients will have a good understanding of what needs to be done but they’ll outsource it to us because we’re more efficient at implementing.

Competition Implication

With high growth in revenues, low barriers to entry, and no certification required, the SEO industry is prime for attracting any and all new entrants. There have always been new competitors. But the face of our competition is going to change greatly. Up until now competition has focused primarily on small start ups and web design firms who decide to add a search component. Some stick around but many are wiped out with the next major shift in the algorithm. This phase of the SEO life cycle is going to attract better capitalized, stronger competition from many sectors. These new entrants are attracted to SEO by the potential for profits not by the fit with their offering.

We are already starting to see traditional media firms seek to protect their eroding revenues by grabbing a slice of the online pie. But WalMart has shown us that future competition could be anyone. And it will be.

No all new entrants are attracted by dollar signs. There are also companies that are feeling increased pressure to offer a more well rounded package. As the integration of offline and online marketing services increases, customers are putting more pressure on agencies to handle the full scope of their marketing spend including the online component.

Although we’re already starting to see increased competition, many existing SEO companies aren’t feeling the pinch yet because demand is also increasing. One implication of increased demand coupled with new entrants to the market is the impact on supply. We’re starting to experience a shortage of experienced SEO talent SEO talent is a scarce resources. And this scared resource is not yet being renewed at a fast enough pace. Whilst some colleges are starting to offer digital media / internet marketing diploma, these grads know very little about what it takes to optimize a website.

Moreover, what they do know is limited to theory. It?s one thing to know that links are important to ranking. Its an entirely different thing to know how to effectively build links. So what?

Who cares where we are in the product life cycle?

Although we’ve already experienced a lot of growth, this growth is nothing compared to what we?re about to experience. In this next stage of the SEO life cycle, we?re going to see shifts in our clients, competition and product offering. Knowing that this is coming, will allow you to prepare. If we know that face of our competition is going to change from other small to mid sized SEO’s to large Agencies and Enterprise size companies in totally unrelated industries then we can prepare for this by determining how we’re going to differentiate ourselves from the new entrants.

And if we know that there is going to be increased pressure on skilled resources then we should be developing in house training programs now. The future is now. And it’s only just begun.

Want to Join A 3 Way Links Network?

Dec 13, 2008 Author: Chris Chandler | Filed under: Search Engine Optimization

I didn’t believe it when I first saw this SEO linking system known as 3 way Links by the seo guru Jon Leger.. I was skeptical of a system like this at first.

It seems like one of those “too good to be true” deals that I generally stay away from. But I had a friend that joined and was giving it rave reviews, so I decided to take a closer look at this “miracle solution” to linking.

Looking at it now after being on the service for almost a year now, I would say it is not “miracle service” for it cannot grab the #1 spot in a highly competitive niche market, like “insurance” but I know for a fact it has helped me to grab the top rankings in some smaller niche keyword phrases.

It has helped me get to the top of the engines for several “long tail” keyword phrases that requires less link popularity to rank for. It will take a few weeks but it is definitely worth the wait.

The way the links grow is slow, and as your network of links grow, your PR grows.

At first, I tried this on sites that I did not care much about and saw good results the rankings began to climb.

The 3waylinks.net system allows webmasters to add up to 50 domains in their link network in exchange for thier monthly fee. In the beginning I only added 3 of my own websites. I decided to do some otehr things and then months went by and noticed a doubling in traffic to those site. I am now convinced it is worth it. To this day, I am still a member.

On one of my sites on the network, I was able to acheive a top 3 ranking for a highly competitive term (which I will not reveal here..but be assured, I was extremely pleased…

A few tips I will leave with you about 3 way networks:

1. DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT - If you want to test it, test it on sites that are marginally important so that you can find out for yourself if it is good.

2. CONTINUE TO LINK TRADE IN OTHER PLACES - It is definitely dangerous to leave all your linking in only one place. IF you will build a strong network of links all over the net, it will be much better. This will disguise any possible footprint…even though I have not found this to be a problem any way.

3. IT DON’T HELP PR - It didn’t help my sites with PR anyway. I find PR to be not such a huge factor in rankings anyway. While I dod keep an aye on it some, I don’t base my SEo solely around the concept like some SEO “experts”.

4. YOU NEED SOME WEBMASTER SKILLS - The install of the code could make a web newbie cringe, but it is not difficult. IF you need help, email me.

5. CHOOSE THE RIGHT KEYWORDS - I usually pick highly related keywords that are not going against huge competition in terms of sites optimizing for it AND also produces a good bit of traffic according to Google’s Adword Keyword Tool.

If you are looking to get more traffic, build rankings, and have an extra way to dominate Google, I highly recommend 3waylinks.net

Improve Your Search Engine Rankings - 3 ways (Part 3)

Dec 9, 2008 Author: Steve Mitchell | Filed under: Search Engine Optimization

Here is Part 3 of ‘3 Ways To Improve Search Engine Rankings’ with follows on from Parts 1 and 2. The simple 3-Stage Approach I use to getting highly ranked in the search engines is something anyone can do. Here, in Part 3, is my third Stage…

Stage 3. Make Your Website ‘The Most Popular In The Class’:

Stage 3 of my simple 3-Stage approach to getting my websites highly ranked in the search engines, is crucial because it’s the element that contributes about 85% towards how high a website is ranked up the search results.

I refer to it as getting your website to be ‘the most popular in the class’. What do I mean by that? Well, think about being at school, and being popular with everyone else was more about being what they wanted you to be. If you were how they wanted you to be, and they liked you, then ultimately you were perceived as popular. Fickle I know. And the more folks who thought you were really good, the more popular you became with everyone in your class, and more likely the school.

Same goes for your website - the more other websites like you, the more popular your website is going to appear to the search engines, and thus the more popular you are perceived to be for the information the searcher is looking for.

So, million dollar question - how do you get popular with a bunch of other websites? Two things, and they are equally as important…

a) You need to get quality websites linking to your website. b) The websites that are linking to your website need to be as relevant as possible to the information on your website.

Let’s cover both of these…

One of the most effective things you can do to help your website get ranked is to get as many other quality websites linking back to yours, from links on their websites. Quite simply the more links pointing back to your website, the better.

But links alone are not enough - the links need to be on quality websites that in themselves carry good content, and the link is from a website that is relevant to what is on your website.

So, why is the amount of links, and they relevancy of the linking website important to search engines? They see it this way - the more links from high-quality web sites that point to your website, gives a strong indication that what is on your website is all relevant information. They also look at the link itself and that if it’s on a website that is relevant to your website, the search engines effectively say to themselves the website with the link is offering what is like a strong referral again about the quality of what’s on your website…

…and the more websites giving you these ‘referrals’ (links), the more the search engines rate your site, and so the higher it appears on the search results.

Obviously getting these quality one-way links is the key, as they play a massive part in where your website ranks in the search results.

How do you get them?… That’s the tricky bit - the ’scenic’ route is to write, call, bug and drive webmasters nuts, who have relevant sites to yours, to ask them to add your link on their website linking back to your site. Be prepared, that can be a long job, requiring a great deal of patience and resilience, as these webmasters are constantly getting asked for exactly that.

The other way is to use a specialist, who has demonstrated they know how to get these links, and they then focus on getting the links for you.

However you do it, getting these links is vital to getting high up the search results and enjoying all that ‘free traffic’ from organic search, as millions around the world type into the search services…

About the Author:

Following on from Part 1, here is Part 2 of ‘3 Ways To Dramatically Improve Search Engine Rankings’ I have a simple 3-Stage Approach to getting ranked high in the search engines. Here, in Part 2, is my second Stage…

Stage 2. Get Your Website Seen:

If you goal is to get placed high up the search engine rresults (as it should be!) then you need to get the search services to ’see you’. This sounds an obvious statement but few people really think it through that much. In a nutshell, and avoiding all the techie jargon, search engines really want to find you, or more specifically your website. When someone types in a ’search query’ they are looking for some information. If your website is relevant to the information which is being searched for (we’ll talk about this later), then the search engines are very keen to link the person searching with your website, which they do with the search results the search engine discovers.

The key then, knowing the search engines really want to find your website, is to set up your website in such a way as to make it be easily found by the search engines. The way you do this is to adopt some basic, but very important ‘optimisation’ tricks on your website - what is called ‘on page optimisation’.

The interesting thing is, even though it’s really important to do what I’m about to share with you, the on-page optimisation’ methods only really are about 15% of what contributes towards your search results ranking. The 85% of where you figure in search results is dependant on the ‘off-page optimisation’ which I’ll cover in stage 3. Even though ‘on page optimisation’ only makes up for 15% towards how you get ranked, it is still crucial to carry out these basic but key steps:

a) Ensure your keyword(s) appear in your pages ‘Title tag’ of the header code of your website (if you’re not sure what this is, ask someone to show you who does know - it’s that important). This is vital because it is one of the key things that search engines are looking for - matching the words the searcher types into their search (the keywords) with the title of a website, which in turn should be relevant to the search query. You can take this a stage further by adding in a description in the ‘meta description tag’ again incorporating your keywords, and then the ‘meta keywords tag’ which simply includes all your keywords, comma separated.

The search engines don’t put so much relevancy these days on the description or keyword tags, but they’re worth doing either way, but it’s vital you include your keywords in the Title tag.

b) Make the webpage you are pointing the keyword towards relevant to that keyword. In other words don’t have a keyword like ‘dog training tips’ and then have a webpage all about horses, cats, dogs and loads of other animals with little specific relevancy to dogs or dog training - make sure the webpage is relevant to your keyword.

c) Build into your website a simple Sitemap. Understand that the way search engines search the web is they look for (crawl) words and phrases in all the code of your website - they don’t understand pretty pictures, graphics, flash animations, etc - all they want to find is words and phrases relevant to want the searcher is looking for. So make it simpe for the search engines to ’see’ your web site when it looks for those key words and phrases. One way to do this and make it easier for the search engines to find the info they want is by incorporating a simply site map within your website. Again, if this doesn’t make sense to you, ask your webmaster about it.
