How strong is your will? Are you someone who gives up quickly on goals? Successful people all around the globe have one very important trait in common: an iron clad will to achieve their goals. How strong is your will? Do you often give up or are you someone who persists until the job is complete.

How do most people set goals?

Most people set goals based on what they think they can achieve or what they know they can achieve but not on what they really want. This is very sad because it promotes the status quo in their life and prompts very limited growth. Real growth occurs when you step outside of your comfort zone and take a risk.

Why do most people give up on their goals and dreams?

Most people give up on their goals and their desires because they either 1) are fearful that they will see a setback, or 2) experience a small setback and decide to give up because it’s too hard to continue in their mind. Is anything really worth while in life very easy to get? Think about the relationships you have in your life with family, friends and your significant other. These relationships require work. The business that you have or the employer that you work with requires effort on your part to sustain it and to grow your position. Anything that comes too easily, frequently is also easily lost. If you don’t believe me take a look at the statistics of people who win the lottery. Within a couple years they have lost every thing they have won. There’s an old expression that anything you have not earned you have not earned the right to keep.

Do you really want “it”?

Many people give up on their goals and dreams because they don’t really want them. If an individual has not become emotionally involved in acquiring a goal that they seek, there is a very high possibility that they will give up. Ask yourself what are some of your New Year’s resolutions from past years. Did you complete all of them? If not why? I’m willing to bet you were not emotionally involved in those resolutions and therefore they did not stick.

How can I improve the intellectual factor of the will?

The will, like all other intellectual factors, can be improved with conscious awareness. Learning to be in control of your thoughts and then focus on one thing at a time is the skill set needed. One way to do this is to buy a candle and light it on the opposite side of the room from you. Focus on the candle and only the candle. Your mind will drift and think about different things such as your job and preparing lunches for the kids. Bring your mind back and focus on the candle. The longer you can focus on the candle and the flame without allowing your mind to drift the better your “will” will become. Once you learn to master this task you can focus your will on anything.

Will this really work?

Let me be honest with you, take a look at your life in terms of your happiness, health, and wealth. Is there room for improvement? It doesn’t matter how happy, healthy or wealthy you are there is always room for improvement. Now ask yourself how focused are you and how strong your will is? If you continue to do everything you have always done I promise you’ll get more of the same. The candle technique was explained to me personally by Bob Proctor who is a very well recognized authority in the personal development industry.

The use of the will is one of the gifts few of us truly understand that helps us achieve real success in life. I want to suggest that you take the concepts contained in this article very seriously and become hyper aware of how you use your will and the results that you get in life. If you want to see big improvements make sure that 1) you really want your goal 2) you become emotionally involved with your goal 3) and you never give up.

Fight the Recession - Make Your Business Grow by Being Present

Dec 22, 2008 Author: Christina Helwig | Filed under: Sales & Networking

Often we get caught up in a rush of to-do lists, people we have to help, sales to be made, meetings to set-up and countless other important details and commitments that need to be fulfilled without taking time to breathe and focus on the present. Our lives are increasingly hectic and require a level of multi-tasking never seen before. By failing to stay present we actually harm our interests and by extension our future growth and expansion. You will be better able to ignore the recession by staying present in mind and giving your full attention to the “now.”

Do One Thing At A Time Really Well

You can only focus on one task at a time. If you are giving your attention to many tasks at once you are spreading yourself too thin and producing inferior results. If you disagree with this statement let’s take a quick example to help explain this idea. Have you ever been on the phone with someone who is watching t.v., paying attention to their children or is otherwise working on something? You can tell right? Even if they deny it, you know that they are not giving you their full attention because they respond slower to your questions or answer you with “uh-huh” one too many times. Multi-tasking in the end makes projects take longer to complete and potentially makes your results worse than they would be if you were giving the project your full attention.

Master The Details

Your brain has to pause and switch between neurons to move back and forth between the different projects or tasks that you’re working on. Every time you switch, you have a mini-delay while your brain processes concepts to get you back up to speed with where you were in the task. If you have enough distractions this process could take you several minutes to complete. This accounts for the sensation of losing your train of thought when speaking or an inability to focus on a task after coming back from a distraction. By focusing one task at a time you are better able to handle all the requirements of a project. You are less likely to forget a step or a crucial detail. You will also get your work completed faster because you will not have to constantly make switches in your brain back to the task at hand.

The Future Will Be Better If You Focus On The Now

You cannot act in the past, you cannot act in the future, you can only act now. Regardless of how many projects you have to complete or how many fires you have to put out at any one time, you cannot be in two places at once and you cannot do anything about a problem that hasn’t happened yet. While you can set up systems to help you deal with potential problems in the future, your energy and focus needs to stay with the present. Worrying about future contingencies sucks energy from your present ability to handle and accomplish your current objectives.

Don’t Dwell In “What If’s”

Stop thinking about and letting your thoughts dwell in “recession-land.” The more you think about the recession or economic times the more you will actually create failing conditions for your business. You’ll subconsciously sabotage your business if you continuously think about the market dropping or the financial crisis on Wall Street.

You’ll start to think things like “my customer won’t buy our product because of the market” and your actions will start to match that mentality. You will make less sales calls, you’ll lower the amount you ask people to buy or even lower the price of your products without any real need to do so, all to keep up with the mental image you have in your brain of a slowing economy. Don’t tell yourself “no” before your customer has even heard your pitch. Let them tell you “no” and then redo the offers to match their expectations if need be. Your first and only thought should be that you have a superior product, that is worth its price and that the customer will benefit greatly from your service or good. That’s it. Ignore the recession and press on.

Pick Your Five Things To Accomplish Each Day

Start out each day by making a list of the five most critical things you need to accomplish and then start working your list. Begin on number one and do not work on number two until number one is complete. Do not open e-mail, take phone calls or engage in any other distraction while you are working on your list. If you have meetings or other interruptions, come back to your list each time you have quiet time to work. If quiet time is a problem then set up some boundaries with your employees or co-workers. Shut your door and put a sign on it saying you are in a meeting. By engaging in this process you will be able to focus completely on the ‘now” and your actions will be much more effective. If you do not finish all your five items, then just start the next day with the rest of the projects on your list and repeat the process.

Breathe and Push Through Problems One Step At A Time

If a problem or fire does pop up, just mentally reframe your five most important tasks. Take the problem and place it at the number one spot. You will not be able to focus on anything until you calm your mind and put out the fire. Once extinguished, your ability to focus will return to normal and you can breath and move on with your productive day.

Use Your Ability To Reason To Achieve What You Want In Life

Dec 21, 2008 Author: Christina Helwig | Filed under: Sales & Networking

The ability to reason is one of the most critical of the six intellectual factors. Human beings have to make a volitional decision to use this factor in pursuit of their goals. All human beings have the capacity to think and use reason, however, not everyone does! This is evidenced by the overwhelming percentage of the population who at retirement are dead, broke or still working out of financial need. Isn’t it interesting that only 1% to 4% of the population have significant wealth that allows them the time to enjoy everything that this world has to offer at retirement?

The ability to use our reason implies that we can use logic. What does this really mean? To be logical implies that you have the ability to collect, organize and use information in a way that furthers your position in life to be happier, healthier and wealthier with people you love. Isn’t this the objective?

Let’s look a little deeper at the four primary thinking processes. Thinking processes can be: declarative, cumulative, serial, or parallel. The most basic form of logic is to simply declare something. For example if I said: “this is a red car” this would be considered declarative. If you observe children from a very early age they will communicate using declarative statements. They might say something like “That is a big dog.”

If now I add more complexity to this sentence and say, “this is a orange boat and it moves fast.” this would be considered cumulative logic. Some individuals mature out of the declarative mode of thinking to cumulative but not everyone.

Now let’s add some more complexity: “this is a red car and it travels quickly. By traveling quickly and exceeding the speed limit I might get a traffic ticket.” Serial thinking is more advanced than declarative or cumulative thinking because it involves linking ideas together.

Now for the most advanced form of thought process let’s examine parallel thinking. Parallel thinking involves having multiple serial processes at the same time. Let me give you an example: “This is a red car and it travels quickly. By traveling quickly and exceeding the speed limit I might get a traffic ticket. On the other hand, if I do not make an effort to get to the airport as quickly as possible I will miss my flight.” This form of thinking is parallel. It involves being able to look at an idea from multiple viewpoints, to compare and contrast, to find the optimum solution.

All of us exhibit various forms of thought processes. The main question is where do we tend to be most comfortable? When we are relaxed and not under stress how do we communicate? The way you communicate is a direct reflection of the complexity of your thought processes. The complexity of your thought processes is a reflection of the challenges you are trying to overcome to move forward in life. The size of your goals is determined by you. The bigger the challenge you undertake and the bigger the questions you ask yourself, will directly relate to the answers and solutions you get. How do you structure ideas?

You will notice that very successful people are able to think of ideas in a multidimensional way and are parallel thinkers. I recommend that you pay attention to the way you structure your thoughts and actually spend time thinking about where you are and where you need to go.

Ensuring Your MLM Success through Effective Prospecting

Dec 20, 2008 Author: MLMAbsolute | Filed under: Sales & Networking

Like all other network marketers or leaders in the MLM or network marketing industry, it is natural that you will approach your family and friends first to expand your MLM business. They are your first most prospective customers as they are more likely to trust and help you. Also, they will be more lenient to you if you should make any mistakes during your presentation to them.

You should start to tabulate your prospect list, listing names of everyone your know. It doesn’t matter if you met them very long ago. Just write down as many name as you can think of, you can think of people whom you met in a friend’s reunion ten years ago. Try to write as many names as possible, or at least 100 names in the list.

Once you are done with your prospect list - You have to decide what is the best way or medium to get in touch with those people on your list. Your family, relatives and friends will be invaluable to you when you first started out in MLM network marketing, but you must be careful not to abuse this group. The most common mistake about new distributors is that they rely too much on this group that eventually, their families and friends become too fearful and sick of seeing them.

You can start by introducing the product followed by an attempt sale. Keep them updated of your company’s new product and special offers regularly. If they decided to give you a chance or to try the product, they will naturally purchase it.

You can also rely on you family and friends to use their contact to build your prospect database. After all they have family and friends you don’t know. These are natural extension of your customer list. Sometimes you can simply ask people to give you a list of names of people whom they think may like that product or will be interested to become a distributor.

Another source of prospect are your neighbors. They provide a very good opportunity for you to share with them about your company and product. Even if you do not know your neighbor, they are still a good source of leads, it is also natural that you approach them to share your company or products

You have to learn how to assess your neighbors based on their characters etc. Definitely I agree that your neighbors may be one of your best customers because they live nearby you. Some neighbors however are not as friendly, and they may be turned off when disturbed. And for that matter, should you try to approach them to become a distributor of yours…. Think twice!

You can also consider advertising - Many distributors however stay clear of advertising because it incur a cost. But advertising can be very cost effective, because it reaches out to many people for relatively little money. The key is to be very selective when reviewing your advertising options and to consider if the money spent on advertising is worth it.

Finally, there are many other ways you can advertise, through email messaging, auto-responder, social booking, radio and magazines. The main point is to increase the effectiveness of our chosen method. It is crucial to remember to include the benefits of your company and products, including your contact information or maybe an offer for free trial.

Amber Alert Gps Because Millions of Kids are Lost Everyday

Dec 20, 2008 Author: Sonja Schuyler | Filed under: Sales & Networking

A parent’s greatest fear is losing their child. Now there is a way to help calm that fear. Amber Alert Gps has created a product using the latest in GPS and cellular technology. The heart of the company, which is run by parents for parents, revolves around the President’s initiative to protect children and give parents peace of mind.

The Amber Alert Gps is the leader in the US child location technology industry. Rated 4 out of 5 as the Editor’s Choice by gsmagazine.com in their new “The Ultimate GPS Child Tracking Buyers’s Guide and recently reviewed in MSNBC.com’s article “A Good Find: GPS to locate the kids”.

Here is how it works. A parent’s phone call to a GPS unit, located on their child, will return a text within seconds to their cell phone containing the latitude and longitude coordinates of their child’s whereabouts. Also a map pinpointing the location of their child.

This innovative technology also provides maps on your Mobile Phone. When you call your GPS to request a location, you will receive a map URL right back on your mobile phone. This will work if you have a Smart phone or an Internet data plan on your mobile phone to view the URL.

You will be able to define a Safe Zone area in your neighborhood, school district or any where you choose and receive an alert when your GPS is carried outside that location. You receive a SOS Button. You can teach your child to press the GPS SOS button when they need help and you will immediately receive an alert with their location.

You will receive a Speed Alert so you will get notification when your GPS surpasses a specific speed and know immediately when your child is in a car. This is great for speeding teenagers!

The Amber Alert GPS units are about the size and look of a pager. It will fit in any pocket, backpack, purse, or jacket. The second generation of units will be launched February of 2009 and can be pre-ordered now. This next generation will include a new wristband model and a new belt unit to make it even easier to place the GPS unit on your child. See our website for images of the current and future units.

You may use this device in many other scenarios, such as vehicle tracking, pet tracking, special needs children and seniors, luggage tracking, and more. Only your imagination limits the uses of this amazing and efficient new technology.

NETWORK MARKETING

Dec 19, 2008 Author: Jossef Sal | Filed under: Sales & Networking

It’s hard to escape pitches for multi level marketing programs. After all, they’re everywhere. Turn on the TV late at night or early in the morning, and you’ll likely find an infomercial for one staring back at you. Check the mail, surf the net, read a newspaper - multi level marketing opportunities are coming at you from all corners. And the pitches really do a great job of making them sound enticing. They all have the same common elements. Someone just like you took a chance one day, and now, after making a small investment, they’re living the high life beyond their wildest dreams and barely working at all to do it. They appeal to your material side, and they appeal to the part of you that wishes that you had all the time in the world to spend with family and friends. So are they for real? Here are four things you need to know about multi level marketing.

The first thing is a biggie - you need to know that being successful at multi level marketing take a huge time commitment. They may make it seems like you can do everything in an hour or two a day, but that doesn’t make it the case. In reality, there is a lot of hard work that needs to be put into one of these plans to make them pay off, and in many cases, they require more work than a “normal” job. If you’re getting into any business opportunity, let alone a multi level marketing one, because you think it’s your ticket to easy street, you’re setting yourself up for failure.

The second thing you should know is related to the first. In addition to suggesting that you can make a ton of money without making a time investment, multi level marketers often tell new recruits that they don’t need any skills to get the job done. All they need is the vision to see the potential in the idea of the business. In fact, multi level marketing requires sales abilities that the vast majority of people lack. This is different from any other sales you will. Your pitch will almost always be unwelcome, you have to try and turn your family and friends into paying customers and you constantly have to search out new clients. It requires a special kind of talent.

Thirdly, despite what the pitch people might say, multi level marketing is hardly the wave of the future and it is not going to drive you local mall out of business. It is a business model that has been around for years and has made very little dent into the retail sale market. The best way to think about is door to door salespeople. Do you see many of them anymore? Exactly.

Last but not least, you should know that many multi level marketing plans are pyramid schemes in disguise. You could lose your investment, and if you sign up enough people, you could go to jail for fraud. Tread carefully when it comes to any multi level marketing program. MLMs and network marketing programs success depend on prospecting, you need to find some good hard working prospects to join you and work in your team (we call it downline). Read this free report about MLM prospecting to have a better idea. We are heading to the 2009 now, first I want to wish you a merry Christmas and happy New Year, and it will be a great time to stop for a minute and think, the time is passing year after year, are you satisfied of what you have accomplished? Isn’t it the time to change? You need to do something and you know it; so why don’t you start your own small internet business and give it some time, and maybe next Christmas will be better than this one. Here is a free short report about starting a home business with affiliate programs and network marketing

I make six figures now after firing my sponsor

Dec 19, 2008 Author: John Wallen | Filed under: Sales & Networking

Personally, I think the work at home industry is a the best industry to be a part of. There’s a ton of network affiliate opportunities around, and for the most part they are all great companies. But the problem is only 2 percent of those involved with these companies ever achieve full time income.

There are those of course that had some sort of notion that all they had to do is turn the key and their business would make them rich. But there are those who put in the time doing what their sponsor and upline is passing down to them, and getting no where in their business.

I was one of those busy net workers, but one day I stopped doing everything I was being told. You could say I fired my upline. After 10 months of my business showing negative results, I figured it was crazy to keep duplicating what they were supposedly doing.

I didn’t just quit my business, but I was sitting in on as many free home business seminars I could on the internet with different companies. I figured the more I learned, the better my chances of picking up on at least one idea that might offer some good results.

But I’m not going to do things that don’t produce results. No more buying garbage leads or lists of those who have no interest in a home business. No more duplicating marketing techniques that basically are useless any more.

As I said before, looking for new information and learning new things about this industry, I think is important. So I like to look through different ezines, and that’s when I found something that blows the old school ways out of the water, and breathed new life into my business, big time!

So if your having this same problem and it’s getting you down, I understand. May be you want to consider firing your upline. I have no regrets that I did. This system works like nothing I’ve seen before. Besides, you don’t even have to tell them, but be sure to pass this down to you downline.
