Do you think that giving away your eBook instead of selling it separately will generate you more business in the long run? I do, and that is why I am going to show you how to do just that in this article.
How do you make money by giving away your eBook?
It’s simple
You can use it as a viral marketing tool. It provides you an opportunity to give something to other people to increase the number of visitors coming to your website.
By providing an eBook to other people and giving it away for free, it creates a viral marketing mechanism that brings you business. It can be used as a great viral marketing tool.
Secondly, giving away your eBook can help generate leads to increase the number of people on your list or improve your database. Use the free eBook as an incentive for people to sign up for your list or provide you information for your database.
You won’t be able to get people’s names and emails easily anymore. In today’s age people are swamped with junk mail and have therefore become very protective with who and where they give away their information to.
In order to get that information out of people you have to win them over by giving them something they want or need. An eBook can work as an incentive for them to give you their email address, name, or whatever piece of information you are looking for because they are getting something out of it.
To go along with that strategy, here is another tip. When people are collecting email addresses and names, often they will have a section on their main website where people can submit that information. Once they have submitted the information many people give the download for their free eBook on the next page.
The problem with that is somebody can give you a bogus name and a bogus E-mail address that doesn’t lead anywhere, and they get the reward for doing that.
From my point of view that is not a way to gain respect. I don’t like to do that to people because I want to be respected in return. It is my goal in business to be as transparent as I can be.
Instead of providing them with the download right away, I send them to a thank you page that basically just says, “Thank you. The information for where you can download the free eBook has been sent directly to the email address you provided.”
Now the people who gave a real email and name will get rewarded for their honesty. An auto responder will send them an email immediately which will have a link where they can go and download the eBook.
Although you may look like your building up a database with a lot of names and email, if half of them are leading to false emails it is useless. You should really think about this concept because it won’t do you any good building up a database that is full of bogus information. You want to be sure you have set up measures to weed out people who would leave false information so your database and your business is protected.
Lets go back to how to give away your eBook. Research can be a powerful mechanism you can use to learn key information that would help your business. By using your eBook as a reward, you could put it at the end of a survey, so people will actually fill it out.
Asking your market is the best way to find out what new products or service they want, or how they feel about a new product you may have launched. One of my mentors, Alex Mandossian, has taught me so much in regards to marketing and he is known to use Ask Campaigns. Basically, this is when you learn what your market wants just by asking them.
Here is an example of how Alex uses this. He is able to bring in some of the biggest names in business and put together high-level teleseminars. Some of the people he has done them with are Brian Tracy, Harv Ecker, Mark Victor Hansen and Bob Allen. These teleseminars are with the who’s who in business. You name it, he has probably done one with them.
I know that he is setting up teleseminars right now with people like Bill Clinton, Lance Armstrong and Steve Jobs of Apple.
For every teleseminar, he goes through the same steps to ensure the people paying for the call are satisfied. Alex gets them to submit their burning questions for the expert so he has a pile of material when he goes to do the call that evening.
By doing this, he knows exactly what people are wanting to know and he doesn’t even have to create any questions himself.
It is as easy as that. You can use this strategy. By providing an eBook at the end of the survey it will entice people to complete it and in return you will gain some really great market research.
Often times are like, Yeah, a survey. I don’t want to bother doing it. But if there’s a great reward at the end of the tunnel, they’re going to do it. So it’s a great way for you to conduct market research by providing a valuable E-book to give away at the end of the survey.
The other bonus from doing this is you will get information about what your clients really want. From this you can generate more products and services to fit those needs and generate more business.
You can now see there are many different way to give away something creatively to generate more business in the future. Put your thinking caps on and ask yourself what might be other ways this is possible.
May ideas come to you when you need them the most!
A select group of people, known as vendors and fulfillment companies, are crucial in taking your products from concept to cash. You will come across a wide range on vendors - graphic designers, web programmers, CD duplications, fulfillment houses - all of which will affect your business. If this group of individuals can affect how your business is run you want to build quality relationships with them. This article will outline a few tips on how to do just that, while lowering your fulfillment costs!
To get started, you can send them recommendations and referrals. I try and do this with anyone I work with because if I am able to give them more business, the value of my relationship with them goes much further. It changes the way they view me now because not only do I give them the business I use them for, but also the people I associate with. I will become more favorable then most clients. What you really have to look at is how you can benefit your vendors quickly and easily - giving them referrals is a great way to start.
Joint venture projects is something else I have done with my vendors in the past. An example of this is when I worked with a graphic designer on a product. She did the graphic designer element, I put together the product and did the marketing side and then we split the profits.
Just like that I saved myself a ton of money! The costs for a graphic designer were gone and when I was first starting out I used this strategy a lot because I simply didn’t have the money to put down for elements like that.
Some people tell me, “Yeah, but Stu, you’re giving away 50% of the profits. That’s a big chunk of money.” Well, time out for a second. I’m of the viewpoint that it’s better to get your projects completed and making some money versus keeping all of nothing and not getting anything completed.
Instead of just letting those ideas sit on shelf, not making any money, I made an effort to approach and build a relationship with that specific vendor and was able to get those projects completed and off the shelf.
Whether you are just starting out, on a tight budget, or just want to get projects done economically, you really have to look to be creative. Joint venture project with my vendors is one creative idea I’ve used with multiple different vendors.
Another tip to save money that I have learned over the course of using vendors is to have as much work done ahead of time. By doing this you are cutting down on the time and effort your vendor needs to use on your project. You can even ask your vendor questions, like, how could you decrease they’re effort, reduce your overall costs, etc. Vendors will answer these for you, they want to work with you. Everyone has a budget to work within and vendors will be willing to help you stay within it, they are always interested in your business and will help you meet your goals.
Another idea is to create a template versus a one-off project, so that you can use it over and over again without incurring more costs each time. Let me explain that in a little detail.
We’ll use an e-Book as an example. Instead of getting your graphic designer to design a specific layout for your one e-Book, why don’t you just get them to design a template you can use to every other e-Book you develop?
This is a different way about going things - the thing is you will save tons of money - thousands - in the long-run. As for the graphic designer its about the same amount of effort for them to put forth. This is just another idea about how you can again build your relationships with your vendors, but also save a lot of money.
Your vendors and fulfillment companies can really make a difference in your business and these are just a few ideas on how you can build your relationship with them and also cut costs. More strategies will come to you if you only start thinking outside the box!
May ideas come to you when you need them most!
Although it can be risky working for yourself, it would appear this is not deterring people who are frustrated with their regular jobs from having a go at making money online instead. When you are thinking of ways to make money, you likely want to know immediately what the best way is but everyone is different and what is profitable for one is not for another.
So, the first thing you need to assess is where your abilities lie and because there are so many ways of earning a living online on the two most important (I believe) are mentioned in this article To put the whole process very simply, all you are doing is providing a service where you find people who have a particular need and sell them something they are already looking for.
Affiliates are regular individuals who have signed up as commission only salespeople to companies providing goods or services; this is one of the easiest ways to start making money online. There are many advantages to this but the most important is that the affiliate does not own the company and only has the task of finding sales to earn money. What must be done is to find a company that is serious about their affiliate program so it isn’t cancelled after you have put effort into building a site and traffic etc.
Some sites only pay a small percentage as commission for each sale which can be sliding but commissions of 70 percent plus are not uncommon and well worth trying for. The reason many people like affiliate marketing as a way to make money online is the fact they do not have to own or promote a product of their own so there is very little financial outlay involved.
The other main program to make money online is Google’s adsense which uses adverts which are relevant to the site content where they are placed. Adsense accounts are free and the person with the adverts gets paid a very small amount each time one is clicked by a visitor.
Not everyone wants to use this system though and many try other methods because huge numbers of visitors to the site are needed to get a certain percentage to click on a link for an income to build. Any one may become partner with Google’s Adsense program to work towards a common goal but Google has a whole list of terms and conditions that must be adhered to.
A small warning is worthwhile at this point as Google is very strict and will stop payment to anyone who breaches their terms and conditions so check them on a regular basis. Everyone has their own reason for wanting to make money online but you must be sure why you are doing it if you want it to succeed. All you need to do is learn how to get people to ‘visit’ your site and because this is not an easy thing to learn on your own, you will need some help that will teach you the best tactics.
There are a host of websites which can help beginners (and experts alike) with advice, one such is www.warriorforum.com which most internet marketers join and a great deal of help and information can be found there. Fortunately, you do not need to be a computer wizard or even have a computer to make money online although having a pc does help.
A select group of people, known as vendors and fulfillment companies, are crucial in taking your products from concept to cash. You will come across a wide range on vendors - graphic designers, web programmers, CD duplications, fulfillment houses - all of which will affect your business. Just like that I saved myself a ton of money! The costs for a graphic designer were gone and when I was first starting out I used this strategy a lot because I simply didn’t have the money to put down for elements like that.
I’m sure some of you are thinking, “Good plan, except your only going to make half of what you could have made.” Just stop and think about it. I take the standpoint that it is much better to get your projects actually completed and make some money instead of not getting anything completed and make no money.
If I wasn’t willing to work on building that relationship with that vendor, that project would have never been completed. If I didn’t get that project done I would be making no money from it. Instead that project would remain in the pile of possible ideas, bringing in no profit.
You really have to push your creativity when you are on a tight budget. Joint ventures is a creative idea I have used more than once. Web developers is another vendor I have used this strategy with.
The other thing that you can do to save a lot of money when you’re working with vendors is do as much of the work as possible, ahead of time. You’re saving the vendor time. You’re saving them effort. You can ask them, perhaps, questions on how you could save money, how you could cut down their effort, cut down your overall project costs. These vendors will work with you. They’ll help you. They know you have budgets to work within, and so they’re always interested in working with you and trying to help you.
My last tip for now is instead of creating a completely new project design everytime, create a template to use. This way you can use it over and over again without having to pay your vendors again to do the same work. I’ll tell you more about it in detail.
We’ll use an e-Book as an example. Instead of getting your graphic designer to design a specific layout for your one e-Book, why don’t you just get them to design a template you can use to every other e-Book you develop?
That is a completely different approach, yet it will save you hundreds - if not thousands - of dollars in the long-run. Yet, it’s pretty much the same amount of effort for the graphic designer. So that’s another creative idea on how you can save a lot of money when working with vendors, and also building relationships with vendors.
In this article, I’ve outlined a few really quick and easy strategies that can help you build stronger relationships with your vendors and fulfillment companies while saving your money. Many more strategies will come to you once you really start thinking about it.
Ideas will come to you when you explore the possibilities of creativity!
An eBook can be used for more than just a stand-alone product. You can also offer it as a free bonus for somebody purchasing one of your other products or services. You could even use it as a bonus as to an affiliate product.
In the world of marketing, we know that giving away bonuses with your products can act as a major incentive for people to buy it. Many people will load on the bonuses, making some people purchase that product for the bonuses attached to it.
Your job, by creating an eBook is now you’re creating a valuable bonus that you can include in all kinds of different packages. I constantly want you to think about how you can build that package, how you can add value to that package. By developing an eBook, it is one step in that direction because it enables you to create a valuable resource that you can then add to a package, and you can have it establish value on it.
That value that you add to you package will also help you create the price point. When I am creating a product I look at how much I could sell each individual item to get the price point.
Let me give a quick reasoning for that because there’s so many times I go on a website and I’ll see somebody offering a product, and they’ve got all these bonuses, then they just slap a value on there like $297 for this particular bonus.
When looking at the bonus I start thinking, “I wouldn’t pay that much for just that bonus.” That is the question you should sit back and ask yourself - How much would I pay for that particular bonus by itself? Whatever figure you come up with is the value you should use when selling you package because just by slapping on a random figure isn’t going to establish value.
You have to be realistic when you are thinking about how much you would pay and make sure it correlates to what the market would pay as well. If you don’t do this when people come to your website and and look to buy your package they will discount the actual value of that bonus, resulting in it losing tremendous value.
But creating an eBook still provides you the opportunity to create a valuable bonus that you can include with your other products or services.
You can take this bonus one step further by actually including the resell rights to your eBook as a bonus.
Another example, related to me, just because I know my business so well. I talk on the topic of creativity. I would be interested in possibly purchasing the resell rights, or the reprint rights, of someone else who has products on creativity.
Take a moment to think about that. Why would I want to know what I would be interested in purchasing? It will actually save me a lot of time. If someone has made great content on the topic that I talk about, why would I want to reinvent the wheel? We could make it a win-win situation for both of us by partnering up and building a relationship.
He or she was able to leverage their material, I’m able to get material so that I don’t have to reinvent the wheel, and the same principle applies to you and your business.
When you create an eBook, there are going to be other businesses or services that would be interested in the exact same content for their particular email list or their particular customers.
Just like that you have now created a platform to offer the reprint or resell rights as a bonus to those people who are interested in providing or selling your eBook to their customers.
You have now just increased the value of the bonus.
You can easily increase the value of a bonus to an affiliate promotion or your own product by just following these steps.
By exploring your creativity ideas will come to you when you need them the most!
Sometimes you come across those business questions that just have you stumped or slow down your progress. Personally, this has happened to me, especially when I was just starting my online marketing business. Within this article I’m going to answer two of the questions I had about affiliate marketing, hoping to help you with your business success.
First question:
How should you promote someone else’s product as one of their affiliates?
There are a variety of methods that you can use to promote someone else’s product as an affiliate. Doing a solo email campaign can be effective. Two very effective ways is also using teleseminars and videos. When you really think about it, the list is endless on just how you could actually promote.
To have the best impact or response, my advice is to look to use your teleseminars because they are more intimate, people have more interaction, and it gives you the ability to really create, really build up the value of the product itself. So I like teleseminars, I also like video. I use video a lot to promote other people’s products.
Another thing you might want to think about is sticking to promoting products that you have bought, used or received value from yourself. I make sure I do this only because that is the only way I would be able to give my evaluation and honest opinion of the product.
If I am going to promote a product that I haven’t even seen or used, how could I really give a recommendation for it? You’ll find that it will sometimes put you in an awkward situation if you don’t know anything about the product but are promoting it. This helps too when it comes to the promotion because it is much easier and more convincing to say, “Hey, I’ve used this product. Look at what it did for my business, I really think it will help you this way.” You stand out more as an affiliate and create a much stronger pitch then just saying, “Hey, saw this new product, I think you should go get it.”
There are a lot of different ways you can promote your affiliate products, finding what you like best and tracking your results using different methods will help you find what will work best.
Here is the second question:
If you are trying to get someone to promote your product because their list is attractive to what you are trying to see, what would be a good percentage to offer?
This would vary and depend on your situation. Naturally, the more you are able to offer your affiliates and JV partners, the more it will work as an incentive to drive them to promote more. You have to remember to look at your situation though and how much you can afford to give away. Look at the product cost, time cost and things of that nature to figure it out and it may not be huge amounts every time.
My advice to you there, sit down and think through how much you can afford to give away and then look to maximize that as much as possible because the bigger commission, the more interest you will gain from JV partners and affiliates.

The five questions I will get you to answer are going to ignite an idea reaction that will benefit your business, your products and services and yourself. With the amount of new ideas you will be generating I suggest that you either print off this article or grab a pen and paper before we begin.
Question number one: What can I do in the next seven days to increase my conversion rate? To increase my opt-ins? To increase the number of affiliates promoting my products? What can I do in the next seven days to over deliver for my customers? What can I do in the next seven days to show appreciation for my customers?
The base question is: What can I do in the next seven days toand you can add in all those things. Increase conversion? Increase the number of leads coming in to my business? Increase the traffic? Increase the response rate? Decrease refunds?
Ask yourself those questions. Substitute anything in there. Really try and answer this question and once ideas start popping in your head make sure you write them down.
Number Two question: Regarding marketing strategies, which of them are being used successfully in your industry?
When trying to think of new marketing ideas, just look at a successful business in an industry and what they are doing. Ask yourself what are they doing and could you use it in your business?
Number three question: What would be five new ways to attain new customers?
Five new ways, think about it. Usually we only use one method to aquire customers. Imagine what using multiple methods could do for you and your business. Remember to record your ideas as the idea reaction begins and when these ideas are implemented your business will only continue to expand and bring in more revenue.
Question number four: Who could really help my idea take off and how can I make it super easy for them to do so?
That one question is an extremely powerful question. I have used that over and over to get all kinds of things in my business. You would not believe the power of that question and how I’ve applied it in my career.
Here it is again. What people do I know that would be able to assist me in converting my idea into reality and what can I do to make that as easy as possible for them? Extremely powerful question.
Number five question: For only $10, how could I wow blank?
Spending only $10 how could I wow my customers? For only $10 how could I wow my affiliates? My joint venture partners? Why not use this everywhere, spending only $10 how could I wow my girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse, friends?
Use this great formula. Apply it to your business and watch how it will continue to expand into a profitable enterprise.
I know when I ask myself these questions I see not only a difference in the number of ideas I am able to generate, but directly in my business. If you want to know five more questions that will help your business expand check Part Two of this article.
Until then
We’ve all had those questions in our business that either stop our train of thought or slow our level of productivity down. Ranging from product creation, affiliate marketing, teleseminars, financial matters, I know in my own business I’ve come upon hundreds of business questions that I wish I could know the answer to. So, in this article I am going to answer a question I’ve had about affiliate marketing.
Here is the question:
I am promoting an affiliate product and have been able to refer people through my link, but no one has bought yet. What am I doing wrong?
Here’s the answer:
Conversion rates will vary depending on a few things, such as the way the product is positioned, the copy of the salesletter, what guarantees or bonuses are linked with it.
One thing to keep in mind is that it often takes more than 25 clicks to any product for it to start generating sales. You really have to consider the type of traffic that is being sent to your page, because that is what will ultimately determine the number of sales.
This makes sense if you really think about it. If 40 dog lovers clicked onto a page about grooming cats it is very unlikely that any of them will buy your product. For any affiliates my biggest piece of advice to to focus on the type and quality of traffic you are sending to your sites.
Think about what the target market is for the product and make sure you are promoting to people within that market. Next, think about what would really get that market excited or interested and make sure you position the product so it does that.
* What are their biggest challenges? Frustrations?
* What are their desires?
* What are that market’s wants - more money, free time, ability to do xyz easier
Answering these types of questions will really get you in the mind of the people you want to be promoting to. Assuming that you are promoting to people that are somewhat targeted for the type of product you are offering, answering these questions will help you position the product better. As a result the traffic that you send will be much more targeted.
When trying to see where you might be able to improve your promotion you have to keep in mind that it will take 100-200 clicks on each product before you can really gather enough information to find any problems. Once you have this many clicks it will then be easier to drill deep and figure out what could use improving and what might be working.
To begin though, you always want to start with the target market and make sure you are promoting to people who would be within that market. Next, focus on how you position the product to that targeted audience.

Checking out all possible options is a definite attribute that all creative thinkers have.
I want you to stop right now. Whatever you’re doing I want you just to pause for a second and I want you to imagine a world in which everybody looks the same.
A world where everyone not only looks the same, but are identical to each other in every way. Our faces, clothes, make up are all the same. Everyone is identical in their personal characteristics too - same emotions, same intellect, same attitudes. In every aspect we are all the same.
What a tragic world this would be if that were the case. We wouldn’t have the freedom to make choices for ourselves because there wouldn’t be any choices.
With a world of people who all have the same ambition and drive, it would be impossible to get ahead. How could you be stimulated in an environment where everyone thinks the exact same?
Now I want you to imagine a different example. This example is actually going to be very similar to what we just talked about. What if everybody you dated looked exactly alike? Think about that. If you’re a male, every female looks the same. If you’re a female, ever male looks the same.
Try and think back about some of the differences between your past girlfriends or boyfriends. Those differences would be gone. Imagine how boring it now would be to choose your next date, or even your spouse.
The excitement that we get when we find that right person, it would not exist because there wouldn’t be any right or any wrong person. In short, we wouldn’t really have any options because every single potential spouse would be exactly the same as every other potential spouse.
Why would I be telling you all this?
The reason is, thankfully, we live in a world of complete differences. Therefore, there are tons of options, and every day we have the chance to make hundreds of real choices, and each one of them has a completely different outcome.
Living in a free society allows us the freedom to make choices. As creative thinkers, we embrace this freedom because it allows us to explore those options.
Creative thinkers explore many options and every option leads to something new - a new product idea, a new business idea, a new joint venture idea, a new headline idea, a new subject line idea, a new auto responder idea, a new mini course idea - there are so many things that are spawned because we have the opportunity to explore all kinds of new opportunities.
New ideas are ignited from exploring the new, going for different opportunities and possibilities, instead of sticking with the norm. That’s what creative thinkers do, go for what will bring new ideas.
Network marketing is a good way of making money and marketing your business or product. Leadership in Network Marketing is boldly taking on the responsibilities and commitments of creating an empowering environment and a path to success that people willingly follow.
In the world of network marketing and MLM many people get turned off or cringe every time they hear that phrase. This is mainly caused by the simple fact that not that many people know how to do network marketing correctly. And in fact, the most successful people in network marketing are those who work the hardest.
On affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing allows you to make money online by earning commissions off sub-affiliates, people you have brought on to be affiliates of the parent company. And the simple scheme called affiliate marketing is more than enough for someone to be able to make a lot of money online.
For those who didn’t know what it is, affiliate marketing is a cooperative effort between the merchants and online publishers or affiliates, whereby an affiliate is rewarded for every visitor or customer provided through his effort. Now that you have an idea of what affiliate marketing is, is it now the time to know what are the things you need in this kind of business. But in the real world, Internet Marketing and becoming an Affiliate Marketer means we have to abide by the same business rules that have been around since Adam and Eve.
Business marketing
Learning how to use questions to steer the Bloom Team meetings will help you immensely in uncovering that new marketing magic you need to help your small business grow. But make sure the questions you will ask will help in boosting your business by motivating your team.
Successful small business marketing relies on leveraging your brainpower much more than your wallet-power. But most small business marketing efforts simply don’t lavish enough attention on their best customers. Every small business marketing plan must focus on gaining new prospects.
The famous niche marketing
Niche marketing is simple when done right. You just only look for an niche and the particular product that niche is interested on. Therefore, if you have a certain product or service that you want to sell, concentrate your marketing efforts to the Niche Market that it caters too.
Reading articles of related topics, interviews by other marketing professionals and using other techniques developed by successful business people will also help you build the key to niche marketing. One element abandoned by the key to niche marketing is the principle of place. Any fisherman will tell you that there’s no point baiting up your hook and the casting into a pond unless you know that : There are actually fish in the pond The fish are feeding You have the right bait for the fish you want to catch Niche marketing follows a similar principle.
